BBTB2: Wintry Snowflake

Winter has even hit here in the San Francisco area.  There has been a lot of frost on the grass - (we don't get snow) and it's been darn cold.  Our Leader Susan from Busy with the Cricky,  and hostess for the week wants to see creations made with a Cricut snowflake.   There are a lot to choose from - some are intricate and others simple.  I selected a few different ones and a split letter snowflake that I found as an SVG.  Mine are from Holiday Cakes and Frozen.   "Baby It's Cold Outside" is from Family Album.  By now you know my grandson pretty well, and he turned 1 the week before Christmas. No pool party for him - poor guy!

Join us this week and link up your snowflakes project at Bitten By the Bug2 - and stay warm!  Here's the link:  BBTB2.

BBTB2: Penguins all in a Row

Our BBTB2 challenge is being hosted by Kelly from Kellys Koncoctions.  She challenged us to use a Cricut penguin cut.   I have to say, I've never cut a penguin before from Cricut.  I saw quite a few ones to choose from, and I selected a group of them to emulate the group of young preschoolers in the picture.  Come join our challenge and link up your Penguin card, layout, or project on the Bitten by the Bug Challenge.

My cuts are from lots of different cartridges:  Penguins from Animal Kingdom, "Winter Program" from Classroom Dec./Jan., Church from Heritage, "Jingle Bells" from Holly and Ivy, Bell from Quarter Note, and I'll be darn if I can find the snow scene again.... it's in the subscription somewhere!! Added bling using a string of pearls and Stickles.  If the pictures look a little off center, they are, as I have a list of the names of the little singers to put on the left side.

BBTB2: Mittens, and Caps and Scarfs for All

I am really loving putting together my winter layouts this year.  I guess because it's so cold I haven't wanted to go do anything outside and have stayed in my craft room using my Explore.  Here is a winter layout of my grandson and pictures of his 1st birthday. He's a boy, so I had no doubt that he would be making a mess of that chocolate frosting.

Our lovely hostess for BBTB2 this week is Melanie, from Courtney Lane Designs.  She selected warm mittens, scarfs or caps/hats from Cricut cuts to use in a card or project.  Link up your project on our BBTB2 blog - here is the link:  BBTB2.

Cuts include Winter Frolic for the "winter wonderland" Holiday Cakes for the Mitten, Winter Woodland for the Hat, and Christmas Cheer for the adorable Snowman.  Adornments are a blue button, a doily, Stickles for snow, and skittles from "A Busy Bee".

BBTB2 Cricut: - Frozen Olaf Steals the Show

Happy New Year Everyone!!   The two grandmothers (Grandma and MoMo) took the grandkids to Pennys for their fall and winter pictures.  We did 49er football themed pictures that turned out great, and then changed clothes for country Christmas pictures.  Unfortunately by then, the granddaughter was designing her own set, and using props freely, while the little grandson was  about done.  We still got a few good shots, this one being the best.

Since our BBTB2 hostess for the week, Michelle, from http://cricutcrazyscrapper.blogspot.com/ selected the challenge of snowmen this week, it gave me an excuse to purchase the Frozen digital cartridge while it was on sale.  I used the 'print and cut' on Olaf - he's just too thin to cut, and cut the OLAF frame.  I added Stickles to the snow and found the perfect country wood paper for the background.  Come on over to the BBTB2 blog and post up your snowmen projects this week.

This new cartridge is my something NEW for my submission to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge.  It's my first digital purchase.  We are starting the new year with lots of Frozen Cricut items in our house - the granddaughter loves the movie and all things related to Frozen.
